Japanese dogwood. Many people say that the dogwood flower represents the Cross of Christ. With it's unusual four points and holes in each petal, it does look like a nail-scarred cross. Considering that it always blooms right before Easter, also contributes to this story. Which I love! These are my favorite trees and flowers. Posted by Picasa
